Loan Officer for California Residential Investment Lender

Apollo Square Capital focuses on loans for the Fix n Flip to hold and long-term rental products for SFR and MFR assets. We are looking for Experience and Licensed Mortgage Loan Officers to join our team. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast paced “startup’ space, must be able to adapt to market changes.

The perfect candidate can work from home or in our Irvine office. Self-generated business is rewarded as well as company generated leads. The ideal candidate would have a source of self-initiated business to be complimented with company leads. The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual who can manage their own time effectively. This is a full-time position, commission only.

Responsibilities:

• Originate business purpose, hard money loans by reaching out to current and prospective clients
• Develop and grow relationships with real estate professionals, homebuilders, and other referral sources to generate qualified leads.
• Maintain a broad and current understanding of products, guidelines, pricing strategies, and industry standards.
• Engage in local community activities / organizations to develop new business and grow awareness.

Education & Skills Required:

• Must currently hold and maintain an MLO license or must have a California DRE Broker’s License with an MLO endorsement
• 3-4 years lending experience and knowledge of various mortgage loan products desired
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and overall comfort with technology
• Capacity to work independently, be self-motivated and adapt well to change

Additional Experience:

• Mortgage: 1 year (Preferred)
• Licensed origination: 1 year (Required)
• Loan officer: 1 year (Preferred)
• Loan originator: 3 year (Required)
• Non-QM and Commercial Experience (Preferred)
