The Mortgage Loan Processor works closely with the Mortgage Loan Originators and other staff as required to underwrite and/or market potential loans. The Processor will be responsible for preparing files for underwriting. This entails performing a preliminary review of the file and ordering required documents including for example title, appraisals, inspections, VOEs. The Processor also takes the lead on clearing any underwriting conditions and other tasks like the following:

  • Assisting with the mortgage loan process by preparing and reviewing loan documents for accuracy, compliance and completeness
  • Communicating with borrowers and vendors to explain any questions they may have in regard to the loan program or the loan process
  • Ensuring all transactions are in compliance with federal and state laws/regulations and internal policy and procedures
  • Ensuring accuracy of data and loan file documentation
  • Collecting documents and forms, imaging them and creating loan files
  • Contributing to the development of department workflow to continually enhance efficiencies both independently and with the team
  • Fully utilizing TMO system resources
  • Administering and overseeing work on repair holdback projects
  • Servicing internal loans maturity dates, payments and closing
  • Performing administrative and research duties

The ideal candidate will have experience in processing, closing or post-closing commercial/private mortgages.

All candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to multi-task, focus and complete tasks in often compressed time periods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and a keen eye for compliance
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Proven customer service skills, patience and comfort with extensive contact with clients
