Brock Vandenberg

President

Brock VandenBerg established TaliMar Financial in response to elevated uncertainty within the banking industry and to provide an innovative alternative to the restrictive practices of traditional lenders. With more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance, Mr. VandenBerg has earned the trust and respect of a strong network of clients and business partners. His experience includes serving as Vice President of KeyBank’s Private Equity Group. In this role, Mr. VandenBerg assisted in funding more than $200 million in mezzanine debt and joint venture equity investments and worked closely with leading real estate developers and institutional investors worldwide. In addition, Mr. Vandenberg served three years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he supervised the orderly dissolution of failed financial institutions. His responsibilities also included the sale of more than $500 million in performing and non-performing loan assets on behalf of the FDIC. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Mr. VandenBerg is an active member in the Urban Land Institute and the Mortgage Bankers Association and holds a California Real Estate Broker License.

Sarah Zybura

Investor Relations

Sarah Zybura is a native San Diegan and holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership. Sarah joined TaliMar Financial in late 2014 as a loan processor and handled various aspects of loan closing and servicing. As TaliMar Financial’s investor base grew, Sarah became more involved in business development and investor relations. Her responsibilities include the funding, closing and servicing of the private loans originated by TaliMar Financial. Since joining, Sarah has been involved in placing over $130 million in first and second trust deeds. Building five years of trust, Sarah is focused on developing and implementing best practices in investor relations.
